Teaching Personnel is seeking Specialist Teaching Assistants in Bargoed, to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, Down syndrome, epilepsy, and mental health challenges. This full-time position involves working one-on-one with students, helping them navigate their daily routines, stay engaged during the school day, and achieve their learning goals.You’ll also help identify triggers and use de-escalation techniques when needed.
What We're Looking For:
- A degree (or pending) in Psychology (or something similar)
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and a passion for supporting others
You will regularly report on student progress and behaviour and be open to receiving training in Team Teach and Manual Handling.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge in a meaningful way and contribute to the growth and development of special needs pupils. Starting pay is £12.90 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and performance.
