The PWR team at Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted-graded ‘Good’ high school in Manchester to recruit a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher for a permanent role starting in September 2025 (or Easter for the right candidate). The school has a well-resourced Science department with modern laboratories and a strong focus on practical, hands-on learning. The Role:
- Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level for experienced candidates
- Delivering engaging and practical lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for scientific discovery
- Supporting students in their GCSE and A-Level exam preparation through structured intervention and enrichment activities
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and improve curriculum delivery
- Contributing to the wider school community, including extracurricular STEM clubs, science fairs, and educational trips
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Science at secondary level, ideally with GCSE and/or A-Level experience
- Be passionate about delivering high-quality Science education and fostering scientific inquiry
- Have strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Be committed to ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities
- A well-resourced Science department with excellent lab facilities and modern teaching tools
- A supportive leadership team that prioritises staff well-being and professional growth
