About the Role:We are seeking a friendly, confident, and bubbly individual to join our administrative team at a dynamic secondary school in Hartlepool. This is a part-time role that will focus on providing efficient and welcoming support to our school community.
The ideal candidate will have experience using SIMS (School Information Management System) and be confident in answering the phone, dealing with general enquiries, and assisting staff and students with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls and emails in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage the school’s reception area and greet visitors, ensuring they are signed in and directed appropriately.
- Assist with the maintenance of student records on SIMS, ensuring that data is up to date and accurate.
- Support staff with general administrative tasks, including photocopying, filing, and document preparation.
- Assist in handling and distributing post and deliveries.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the school’s day-to-day operations by providing administrative support where needed.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with SIMS or a similar school management system.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Confident in answering phone calls and dealing with various enquiries.
- A friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Previous experience working in a school or office environment is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
