Head of Talent Acquisition - Northern Europe (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
We are looking for a passionate leader to develop and guide our Talent Acquisition (TA) function & strategy across our Hilti Northern Europe region during a critical phase of growth, transformation and change. Hilti Northern Europe region consists of Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
This position is a 12 month fixed term contract.
What does the role involve?You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative hiring strategies and shaping the future of our Northern Europe region by attracting top talent, whilst ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience, and building a strong employer brand.
In this role you will:
- Not just follow a global TA roadmap—you’re crafting it. By blending the TA roadmap with your local business agenda, you create a regional strategy that’s rooted in business insight and drives results
- Own the end to end hiring across the region (c 400 - 500 hires a year) whilst coaching, guiding and inspiring a regional team of Talent Acquisition professionals, driving high performance and one consistent voice across the candidate journey
- Partner with senior business leaders to forecast hiring needs and proactively shape the talent pipeline
- Shape and refine sourcing strategies, building engaged talent pools for critical roles
- Drive organisational capability by hiring diverse talent, with an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience
- Lead and deliver multiple concurrent projects regionally including; New ATS implementation, employer brand activation, direct sourcing and process optimisation
- Act as executive head-hunter for the region to deliver strategic hiring at a senior level
- Own the TA budget and define build & buy strategies; manage agency partnerships and external suppliers
What you need is:
- Proven experience leading and engaging an international Talent Acquisition team in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record in project and change management, including leading TA transformation programmes
- Experience in an international or matrix organisation, being the bridge between your team and the Center of Excellence (CoE), ensuring global initiatives are implemented seamlessly while championing feedback from your team
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to build credible relationships at all levels of the organisation up to and including senior leaders. You challenge and influence stakeholders
- A master of juggling short-term operational needs with long-term strategic goals. Rolling up your sleeves to get things done is important while keeping your eye on the bigger picture
- Experience utilising data and technology to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the function
- EVP development and activation within an international setting
- Experience embedding DE&I initiatives across the hiring lifecycle
- Professional HR/Talent certifications such as CIPD Level 7 or equivalent desirable but not essential
