Planning Manager
Our prestigious client based in the South Lakes, are currently recruiting for a Planning Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. This fast paced and demanding role involves the management of a team to create a production plan from a demand forecast, and ensuring commitments to customers are met.
This role is vital to the smooth running of the business, and we are seeking a collaborative candidate, who is comfortable with people management, as well as liaising with various department heads to ensure the successful running of the business.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate with various departments to develop a production plan with an 18 month forecast
- Manage a production plan that optimises efficiency and productivity
- Lead and manage a small team of colleagues
- Determine raw material quantities required to ensure production needs are met
- Control finished goods stock levels to minimise disposals
- Assist with continuous improvement business projects as required
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures across the site at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demand Planning Management experience at a senior level
- Team-Management experience
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to produce forecasts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and everchanging environment
- Experience using ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Highly analytical and able to work under pressure independently
- Understanding of production planning, material supply, and NPD processes
