My client is a large not-for-profit entity with a significant presence across the UK.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Accountant to join a large Not for Profit organisation on a 6 month interim contract.Working with the Head of Finance, you will undertake a range of change projects that will help streamline the organisation.The organisation are about to embark in a Systems upgrade project moving to a cloud based Accounting system.

At the same time, the organisation are looking to overhaul all of the processes and procedures relating to the Income Management side of Finance.The Interim Accountant will manage the transactional side of the business (circa 14 staff) and will map out all of the current processes, implement new processes that will streamline the Income Management team and write all of the new policies for these procedures.

The role will require good stakeholder management skills to work with operational managers across the business.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Accountant should have:

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
• Strong financial management and analytical skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• end to end process improvement skills and policy writing.
• Outstanding leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
• The ability to strategise and solve problems.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• A 6 month interim assignment on either a FTC basis or day rate
• FTC rate - circa £60,000 - £65,000 per annum
• Interim day rate - £300 - £400 per day via an Umbrella company.
• The opportunity to work in a prestigious Not For Profit organisation.
• Hybrid working - 2 days a week on site
