How would you like to work as a Business Administrator and play a key role in the success of a dynamic team?

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and motivated individual to join our team as a Business Administrator.

Duties include:
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and how an administrator’s role can support an organisation.
  • Experience of working in an administration role and/or customer focused role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in taking meeting notes, producing letters and other written communication.
  • Ability to demonstrate a good level of verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information in a clear manner.
  • Ability to understand stakeholders and apply excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology is desirable but not essential.
  • SystmOne experience would be an advantage but not essential.
Skills required:
  • Competent IT skills and experience of learning and working with new systems.
  • Attention to detail, working with care and accuracy.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities to respond to business needs.
Personal qualities:
  • An organised, methodical, and agile approach to work, with the ability to work as a member of a team while maintaining own workload.
  • Ability to work as a team and remain positive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to undergo regular training and eagerness to continually develop themselves proactively.

Qualifications: • 5 or more level 2 qualifications (GCSE level or equivalent) at 9 – 4 (A* to C) including English and Maths

  • The willingness and motivation to study towards and achieve a Level 3 qualification.

Hours of work per week: 37.5 Hours.

Delivery to be completed on-site and 20% off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete a Business Administrator Apprentice Level 3.

About the employer: We manage the Barnsley Primary Care Network (PCN), which is made up of 32 GP practices, and run the iHEART Barnsley out of hours GP service. We also deliver a number of community healthcare services, such as health and wellbeing coaching, social prescribing and first contact physiotherapy, and directly manage BHF GP practices.

Our aim is to provide the best care to patients, represent the interests of our GPs and work with partners across the borough and nationally to help address some of the challenges facing the NHS today. We are proud of our dedicated team who deliver healthcare directly to patients or are working hard in the background to keep our essential services running smoothly.
