Your new role

As a school receptionist, you will be responsible for supporting the school office to ensure the smooth running of the reception area. You will be the first point of contact for all visitors, phone calls, and enquiries and provide an excellent front-of-house service.

The perfect candidate for this role will already have strong experience in receptionist and administrative roles, ideally within educational settings.

Please note: This is a full-time, temporary position working Monday–Friday 8am–4pm. You will need to be available for a start date of 22nd April. A DBS on the update service would be an advantage.
  • Welcoming visitors to the school and ensuring they are signed in and out accordingly
  • Taking calls and messages.
  • Manage the school diary, booking appointments, arranging meetings, and sending reminders
  • Update and maintain records, databases, and files on SIMS.
  • Order and stock supplies, equipment, and stationery
  • Follow the school policies and procedures regarding health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection.
  • Update and maintain pupil and staff records or databases, using computer applications such as Microsoft Office, SIMS, ParentPay, Arbor etc.

  • Carrying out reprographics work.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Excellent receptionist or administrative experience
  • Previous experience in a school environment
  • Knowledge of SIMS or other school management systems (desirable but not essential)
  • A friendly, professional, and helpful attitude
  • A high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
