The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate data and information on costs and cost variances to help the Head of Operations and the Executive Team Members make informed decisions.

Responsibilities will include:

• Accurate, timely and informative site weekly and periodic factory closes, including metrics reporting.
• Understanding key drivers of direct cost variances and communicating this insight to operational managers to help drive appropriate actions.
• Understanding key drivers of indirect factory cost variances and communicating to the factory manager.
• Supporting operational management and finance/controlling team members with ad hoc requests for insightful analysis.
• Working with the finance team to complete month end, forecast & year end reporting.

Duties will include:

• Weekly cost centre reporting and cost control meeting with budget holders.
• Updating of staffing sheet and reconciling to SAP notification.
• Carrying out weekly / monthly checks: ensuring the consolidated labour running total reconciles with SAP; production matches to WH scanning in SAP; production cost centre review; supporting production in updating the consolidated labour spreadsheet to reconcile to SAP; and reviewing trials for notification in SAP.
• Compiling of analysis and commentary for Leadership meetings.
• Month end reporting, analysis and posting journals for accruals and prepayments
• Business Partner the Head of Operations providing strategic operational support by ensuring relevant analytical data is available and summarised to assist with decision making.
• Be the Main point of contract for the operational team members for standards, costings, ad hoc queries.
• Supporting with the compilation of the annual budget.
• Compiling monthly commercial reporting and the reforecasting process
• Sales and margin analysis on a monthly basis.
• Working with Head of Finance to compile rolling 12 month forecast document, updating on a monthly basis.
• VAT reporting and Office of National Statistic Reporting.
• Involvement in CAPEX projects from a financial aspect.
• Provide cover for the Head of Finance and Controlling in times of holiday, absence and providing support when workload dictates.
• Helping drive best practice in terms of processes within the department; and
• Driving efficiencies in the factory.

The successful candidate will be familiar with the manufacturing environment and be either qualified or part qualified and studying towards their ACCA or CIMA qualification.

Skills should include:

• Advanced ability in ERP (SAP), Excel and Power Point.
• A drive for results having the ability to set own agenda and perform to it.
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines, without compromising the accuracy of work.
• Excellent communication at all levels and able to seek and deliver complex data.
• Being Influential.
• Analytical thinking, passion to seek data driven solutions.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Corporation tax knowledge and other legislative requirements would be advantageous; and
• Previous exposure to international relationships is desirable.
