Pay Rate: £16.49 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 6 months

City: Oxford

Hybrid working

The position will encompass various HR and recruitment support tasks, including assisting recruitment processes, overseeing job postings, resourcing, onboarding processes and ensuring positive candidate experience. Supporting day-to-day HR activities will also be required, working within our internal systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver effective, high quality support and customer service (to both internal and external customers) in response to the varying workflows and changing priorities across the team.

HR support activities including recruitment support, managing job advertisements, generating contracts of employment, contractual changes letters, starter and leaver processes, attendance and the preparation of information packs and other paperwork.

Processing of starters, leavers and changes.
Provide support to employees and managers by phone and by email and provide advice and guidance in accordance with policies and procedures.
Developing and maintaining accurate records in line with GDPR requirements.
Supporting the wider team in the preparation of information packs, reports and other paperwork.
Dealing with payments and invoicing for the team.

Deliver excellent customer service and provide support for enquires both internally and externally.

Qualifications:

GCSE’s (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C or above.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Experience of working in an HR or recruitment environment providing administrative support.
Strong demonstrable administration skills: able to write letters, produce management reports, note take, produce management and performance information.
Experience of providing advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Basic understanding of key employment policies and employment legislation.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills to build effective working relationships across the organisation.
Able to support the wider team in employee meetings and on projects as required.
Effective organisation skills in order to work to deadlines, manage workload and conflicting priorities.
Strong awareness of data protection and the importance of confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
Experience sourcing candidates and use of LinkedIn.

Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
