Head of Internal Sales

The Head of Internal Sales for Zoopla is a pivotal management role responsible for driving revenue growth and ensuring excellence in sales performance across our SME estate agent clients. This role requires a data-driven person with a structured and committed sales management approach and strong planning skills to optimise the output of their sales team.

The Head of Internal Sales will foster a culture of high performance through living in the detail and management of daily KPI’s, activity, sales playbooks, scripting and performance management. This role demands a seasoned sales leader with a deep understanding of the industry and a proven track record in supporting high-performing sales teams.

Responsibilities

Client Engagement
  • Accompany Sales Consultants during online & phone based client meetings to provide coaching and sales development.
  • Serve as the voice of the estate agency customer across the wider Zoopla organisation, ensuring that client needs and feedback are integrated into Zoopla’s strategic planning and operational execution.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for SME clients and working to remove any deal blockers to optimise sales revenue
Sales Strategy and Development
  • Support the development and implementation of advanced sales skills programmes, coaching initiatives, and management development courses for the sales teams.
  • Develop strategies to grow revenue through upselling and identifying new opportunities to win
  • Optimise performance through sales training, scripting, campaign timing, sales forecasting & reporting
  • Partner with the wider commercial management team to oversee the creation and governance of commission schemes to incentivise performance and align with organisational goals.
Commercial Oversight and Process Management
  • Provide oversight of the entire sales funnel, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of performance metrics to the wider Zoopla business.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of commercial deals and opportunities using the chosen deal qualification process to progress pipeline
  • Sales management cadence - monitor daily, weekly and monthly performance through regular meeting cadence and ensure delivery of Sales targets through assurance and performance improvement planning
  • Motivate, inspire and communicate with your team to boost morale and keep motivation high in a remote environment
Collaboration and Leadership
  • Manage and develop internal sales team leads responsible for SME clients, ensuring alignment with the broader Zoopla strategy.
  • Continuously audit and refine internal sales operational processes, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and scalable.
  • Foster a high-performance, client-centric environment for the internal sales teams.
  • Support on the annual sales kick-off and quarterly sales conferences, delivering strategic insights and driving alignment across the sales organisation.
  • Craft and align sales strategies with compelling messaging and sales propositions, ensuring seamless integration between strategic direction and sales execution.
Data and Analytics
  • Drive a data-driven culture by leveraging analytics to measure performance, regularly research sales metrics, and report actionable insights that optimise sales strategies.
Requirements
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience, up to and including Exec level.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams, and influence culture in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record of managing SME clients, preferably within the property or proptech sectors.
  • Deep understanding of commercial deal construction, bid management, and sales process optimisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the property industry, including key players, trends, and regulatory considerations.
