M&E Technical Specialist Engineer

If so, we may have a role which is suited to you as we are recruiting an M&E Technical Specialist Engineer to join our support team.
  • Salary: Up to £59,964 per annum, depending on experience
  • Door to door pay
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Additional earnings available through enhanced overtime rates
  • Up to 4% bonus, subject to achievement of targets (historically paid out)
  • Option for Van, Pickup Truck (with fuel card) or car allowance

About the Job:

Working in a hybrid capacity, you will be responsible for providing onsite and remote technical support and guidance for colleagues including technical information, updates and training to the field team and wider business. Furthermore, you will play a key role in maintaining company compliance, accreditations & competent persons schemes (CPS).

Skills Competence
  • Strong commercial and industrial knowledge and experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Installations
  • Proficient IT skills including the ability to use various equipment software for testing and commissioning
  • Capable of prioritising a complex and demanding workload
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience
  • Good understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Committed to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Good personal skills to interact positively with clients, managers, and engineers
  • Highly self-reliant, motivated, and enthusiastic

To be successful you will have::

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Specific Qualifications:

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade Qualification/s (NVQ Lv3/HNC/HND etc or equivalents)
  • BS 7671:18th edition
  • IOSH Management Safely accreditation
  • Full UK driving licence

One (or more) of:

  • Electrical Testing & Inspection (2391 or 2394/5)
  • HVAC Design/Installation/Commissioning
  • Gas Safe certified
  • City & Guilds 2079 Refrigerant Handling
  • NEBOSH General certificate
Experience
  • Extensive experience ideally gained in the FM and/or Maintenance environment
  • Understanding of commercial & industrial Mechanical & Electrical system technologies
  • Awareness of budgeting of parts and material usage
Knowledge
  • Previous M&E Engineering background and strong industry knowledge
  • HSQE aspects relating to engineering.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and all other Microsoft office functionality
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent self-motivation skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and uncertainty
Other Information
  • The role will involve working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • The role will also involve working 1 in 4 weeks on call
