Child and Family Health Devon (CFHD) have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrator to join our friendly team. Although your main base will be at Capital Court, Sowton, Exeter, there will, on occasions, be the need to work from our other sites across Exeter.

The Senior Administrator will be part of a wider Business Support function.

You will have a key role in providing secretarial, administrative and organisational support across the full range of office and service activities, including the smooth running of the office, processing of referrals, maintaining caseloads, working alongside clinicians planning clinics as well as general secretarial/administrative support to a range of frontline clinicians & managers.

This is a permanent full time position working 37.50 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

Main duties include:

  • providing excellent customer service by responding to incoming telephone queries in a timely and accurate way
  • general administrative tasks
  • use of electronic systems
  • preparation of electronic and paper files
  • assisting with reporting and compilation of data
  • producing letters and reports
  • processing of incoming correspondence
  • Support to clinical team members
  • Diary management

Person specification

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Computer Literate
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Willing to undertake training relevant to the post
Desirable criteria
  • Good knowledge of a wide range of office procedures

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Clerical, administrative or reception experience (minimum 1 year).
Desirable criteria
  • Clerical, administrative or reception experience (minimum 2 years). Experience within a customer care, healthcare, education or social care setting.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good general education e.g. GCSEs or equivalent.
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 3 Business Administration or equivalent experience
